Grilled Large Shrimp


1 lb (454 g) large peeled shrimp, uncooked
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 tablespoons cold water
1 teaspoon
Vegeta dry soup base


  • In a medium bowl stir together all ingredients for marinade.
  • Toss shrimp in mixture.
  • Preheat barbecue to medium heat. Grease barbecue rack lightly with olive oil.
  • Place shrimp on barbecue rack and reserve marinade.
  • Barbecue shrimp for about 5 minutes or until opaque, brushing continuously with reserved marinade.
  • Serve with your favorite salad and garlic bread.

Makes 4 servings.

Note: If you don't have barbecue rack, place shrimp on skewers to prevent them from falling through grill.
