Ingredients:
2 dozen chicken wings
Meat marinade
Lemon sauce
garnish
Meat
Marinade:
1/4 cup (60 mL) Kalbi Meat
Marinade*
2 Tbsp gin (optional)
4 garlic cloves, crushed
Mix all marinade ingredients; set aside.
* If you can't get the Kalbi
Marinade, substitute
3 Tbsp. of soya sauce, 2 tsp. sesame seeds, 1
Tbsp. vegetable oil, 1 tsp. sugar, 1 tsp. crushed garlic, 1/8 tsp. salt
and 1 Tbsp. of water.
Lemon
Sauce:
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. Kalbi Meat Marinade or substitute
1/2 cup water
Mix all sauce ingredients; set
aside.
Garnish:
2 Tbsp. toasted sesame seeds*
parsley
twisted lemon slices
* Toaste sesame seeds for 10 min.
at 425F
(220 C).
Serves 4 to 6.
Preparation:
- If using whole wings,
separate at wing joints. Mix marinade
and marinate wings overnight in a shallow, ovenproof dish,
covered.
- The meat and the marinade
must be kept refrigerated .
- Preheat oven to 400 F
(200 C).
- Mix sauce ingredients and
pour over the wings. Coat well.
- Bake for 40 - 45 minutes.
Increase heat to 425 F (220 C)
and bake for another 10 minutes.
- Transfer to a serving dish,
garnish with parsley, lemon slices
and toasted sesame seeds.
These are chicken wings "to die for".
