The
National Parks Service - Since 1916,
the American people have entrusted the National Park Service with the
care of their national parks. With the help of volunteers and park
partners, they safeguard nearly 400 places and share their stories with
more than 275 million visitors every year. You will find detailed info

National
Park Foundation - Created by the U.S.Congress in 1967 is the
official
non-profit partner of the National Park Service.The NPF works to
conserve,
preserve and enhance the National Parks.
USDA
Forest Service - The U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service
is a Federal agency that manages public lands in national forests and
grasslands, which encompass 193 million acres.
The USDA Forest Service is also the largest forestry research
organization
in the world, and provides technical and financial assistance to State
and private forestry agencies. The Forest Service was established in
1905.
Yellowstone
National Park - Established in 1872, Yellowstone National Park is
America's first
national park. Located in Wyoming, Montana and Idaho, it is home to a
large variety of wildlife including grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and
elk. Preserved within Yellowstone National Park are Old Faithful and a
collection of the world's most extraordinary geysers and hot springs,
and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.
The
Grand Canyon - Only two hours from Sedona is the
majestic Grand Canyon, one of the
seven natural wonders of the world and the most visited national park
in North America. The Grand Canyon can be explored on foot, by air, by
water and on the back of a mule.

information and articles on the surrounding area, related news

Acadia
National Park - People have been drawn to the rugged coast of Maine
throughout history.
Awed by its beauty and diversity, early 20th-century visionaries
donated the land that became Acadia National Park. The park is home to
many plants and animals, and the tallest mountain on the U.S. Atlantic
coast. Today visitors come to Acadia to hike granite peaks, bike
historic carriage roads, or relax and enjoy the scenery.
Acadia
Net - Acadia National Park is located in Maine on the rock-
bound shore of Mount Desert Island. Here you will find granite cliffs
side by side with sand, cobblestone beaches and glacier-carved
mountains rising from the sea, cupping deep lakes in their valleys. The
geography of Acadia National Park ranges from meadows and marshes to
dense evergreen forests. Everywhere the ocean makes its presence felt,
whether by sight, sound or smell. The National Park Service (NPS)
protects this unique resource and provides a variety of visitor
services.
Yosemite
National Park - One of the first wilderness
parks in the United
States, is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200
square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant
sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and much more.
