Efteling
('De Efteling' in Dutch) is the leading and most popular theme park in
the Netherland and one of the largest in Europe (covers approximately
160
acres or cca 650,000 m². It is also one of the oldest theme parks
in the world.
Efteling park is located in the town of
Kaatsheuvel,
in the
municipality of Loon op Zand. It was opened 1952.
Originally
it catered towards
children with a fairy tale theme, nowadays Efteling appeals to young
and
old with its cultural, romantic and nostalgic theme and its variety of
amusement rides.

fifty years, Efteling has evolved from a
general
nature park with playground & unique Fairy Tale Forest, into a
full-size
theme park along the lines of popular Disneyland.
A day trip to the Efteling theme park is a must. In
1992,
Efteling received
the IAAPA Applause Award for Best Amusement Park in the World. Today, the park is based around
traditional myths and fairy tales and is renowned as one of the best
