Italian Mozzarella Sticks

Italian Mozzarella Sticks

Ingredients:

1 lb Italian Mozzarella cheese, cut into nice sticks
3 whole eggs, well beaten
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup seasoned Italian bread crumbs
Vegetable oil
1 cup Italian tomato pasta sauce


Directions:

1. Dip the cheese sticks in beaten eggs, roll in flour, and dip in egg again. Then dip them into bread crumbs.
2. Place prepared sticks on a large tray covered with waxed paper and refrigerate for about 1 hour.
3. In a heavy saucepan or dutch oven, heat oil to 375º F (190º C).
4. Fry prepared and chilled cheese sticks in hot oil until golden in color.
5. Drain fried Mozzarella sticks on paper towel.
6. Serve warm with heated Italian tomato pasta sauce on the side.
