Italian Mozzarella Sticks

Ingredients:

1 lb Italian Mozzarella cheese, cut into nice sticks
3 whole eggs, well beaten
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup seasoned Italian bread crumbs
 Vegetable oil
 1 cup Italian tomato pasta sauce


Preparation:

  • Dip the cheese sticks in beaten eggs, roll in flour, and dip in egg again. Then dip them into bread crumbs.
  •  Place prepared sticks on a large tray covered with waxed paper and refrigerate for about 1 hour. 
  • In a heavy saucepan or dutch oven, heat oil to 375ºF.
  • Fry prepared and chilled cheese sticks in hot oil until golden in color.
  • Drain fried Mozzarella sticks on paper towel.
  • Serve warm with heated Italian tomato pasta sauce on the side.
