Hongkong
- Few people think of wildlife
when Hong Kong is mentioned. But hidden
away on the border between the former colony's New Territories and
mainland
China are the Mai Po Marshes, 1,500 hectares of mongrove forests, mud
flats
and ponds which serve as a way station for 250 species of migratory
birds. Different tours of the marshes
are available and some of them include a walk along the old border, a
visit
to the World Wide Fund for Nature's Wildlife Education Centre, a stop
at the Gei Wai Museum, which displays shrimp farming equipment. You may
even stay behind after the tour to further explore the reserve.

Do's and Don'ts Around The World was
written to guide foreign travelers
and to spare them of mistakes that could hurt them, cost
them money, embarrass them, land them in jail and
ruin their trip abroad. It describes
hundreds of country-specific cultural and social do's and don'ts, with
separate listings for each country in the region. Information
contained in the book came primarily from representatives and officials
of the countries through an extensive
world-wide questionnaire survey.
