Warm Winter Wreath


TO MAKE THIS WARM WINTER WREATH YOU WILL NEED:

  • Red wired paper ribbon
  • 16" twig wreath
  • Bunch of twigs, 24 to 30" long (purchased or  from a tree in your yard)
  • 3 white pine cones
  • 3 medium pine cones
  • 4 mini pine cones
  • 3 curly protea flat
  • 5 pieces black lichen
  • Floral wire
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks


INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Bundle twigs together. Wire together at center of their length. Attach twigs to top center of wreath with a second piece of wire.

2. Make a large Streamer Bow and a small streamer bow, following general instructions.

3. Determine center top of wreath. Place streamer bow 7" to left of center. Wire in place.

4. Attach smaller bow to wreath 9" to right center top.

5. Cut a 36" piece ribbon with slanted ends. Attach center of this length behind large bow. Furl tail ends of this along top of wreath.

6. Wire 2 white pine cones and 2 medium pine cones to wreath at left of larger bow, using illustration as a guide.

7. Attach 2 remaining pine cones to wreath just to right of bow, using picture as a guide.

8. Wire 3 curly protea flat to wreath, placing one at top center, one to right between 2 pine cones, and one to left of larger bow and pine cones.

9. Glue 3 mini pine cones at center of larger bow. Glue 1 mini pine cone at center of smaller bow.

10. Glue pieces of black lichen around wreath, using picture as a guide.
